Welcome to the 2026 Hawai'i Counseling & Advising (HICA) Convening
- Registration closes: February 10, 2026
- Travel Requests closes: February 3rd, 2026
The 6th Annual Statewide Hawaii Counseling & Advising Convening (HICA) will bring together counselors, advisors, administrators, and community partners from across the state to share insights and best practices in college and career advising and counseling. Participants will explore effective models and programs designed to prepare students for success in both career and life.
This year’s convening will highlight the meaningful, impactful advising and counseling that require both a human heart and intentional strategy. While the world continues to evolve, technology and AI can never replace the genuine human connection, but we can harness innovation to help students plan smarter and approach their life and career journeys with confidence.
Presentations and learning discussions will focus on three topic areas:
- Effective & Innovative College & Career Counseling and Advising Practices
- Building Strategic Partnerships for Postsecondary Opportunities
- Preparing Students for Workforce Demands and Career Growth
